Job Description
The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver the marketing strategy for Arbuthnot Latham’s Investment Management and IFA business lines. Working with our in-house Investment team and a new Director, Intermediary Sales, you will develop a programme of activity for each channel - aligned to the marketing funnel - that supports client understanding, brand awareness, and helps to achieve our commercial objectives.
 
Working across the marketing mix, you will be responsible for sales collateral, content, campaigns, communications, PR, events, and support with the development of pitch/new business materials.
 
To place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director, Intermediary Sales, to drive marketing strategy for the IFA market and deliver high quality, measurable activity
  • Work with the Head of Marketing & Communications and Private Banking Marketing Manager to develop plans for the whole of Investment Management Build and execute full online and offline marketing campaigns, aligned to strategy and objectives
  • Oversee the development of marketing content and literature including managing the delivery of pitchbooks, investment updates, video, email campaigns award submissions
  • Ongoing website management, including page updates, structure, supported and informed by Google Analytics, market insight and digital trends
  • With the support of our PR agency, develop a PR plan to increase coverage of Arbuthnot Latham's IFA proposition, and work with the team to identify key messages and potential newsworthy themes
  • Proactively develop our social media channels to increase engagement and interest in our investment management and IFA propositions
  • Work with the IFA sales team and Investment Management team on pitches and new business opportunities
  • Maximise engagement with our digital performance agency to support online visibility and awareness of our investment management and IFA offerings, including paid advertising, SEO, and content
  • Ownership of marketing effectiveness including ROI and KPIs to demonstrate performance, success and learnings, including budget management
  • Providing visibility of marketing initiatives and activities to stakeholders across the business

  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures

Other

  • We work in a highly-regulated environment and you are expected to complete all training in a timely fashion, understand the risks we face as a bank, and act as a champion of best practice in all that we do.
  • Reporting and analytics is also crucial in what we do and you will produce and present monthly data and insights to share with other teams members and your stakeholders.
  •  You will act as a role model to other marketing managers in the team, and support the Head of Marketing & Communications in ensuring team-wide plans and KPIs are achieved
Person Specification

Knowledge / Experience

  • Significant experience in financial services marketing, preferably in an asset manager, investment manager or an IFA-facing role
  • An understanding of financial promotions and Consumer Duty principles
  • The ability to confidently manage and influence stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of asset management / investment management and UK IFAs
  • Understanding of financial promotions compliance
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Budget planning & management
