Job Description
  • As the Integrated Designer you will be working as part of a diverse and multi-disciplined team of marketeers. You will be working on design projects from conception through to delivery, including design for printed literature and digital channels such as websites, social media, and emails. You will also be expected to action regular BAU requests such as literature updates, event invites, social media assets, etc.
  • To place the interests of customers at the centre of all activities, act in a way that is consistent with achieving good outcomes for consumers and to comply with the FCA and PRA's Conduct Rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and development of fully integrated conceptual campaigns. Leading on the creative design and visual identity for key thought leadership campaigns and projects across the bank.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Designers and marketing managers through regular consultations to help deliver new design solutions.
  • Manage and action change requests for new content on Arbuthnot Latham digital channels, including designing news articles and pages in line with our existing brand for the website, designing email templates, and producing materials for social media.
  • Action BAU requests relating to literature updates. Split between regulatory requirements, brand-led, and client facing documentation.
  • Responsible for designing a wide range of materials from branded literature, reports, corporate brochures, banners, adverts, social media assets and staff communications, ensuring they are in line with the brand guidelines and industry trends.
  • Create mood boards to communicate early visual ideas and themes.
  • Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables coming out of the company.
  • Create new styles and features for content within website pages and news articles where required.
  • Producing interactive digital publications in browser-based design tool Readymag.
  • Create interactive content and rich media with a variety of digital tools such as Adobe After Effects and Canva for Teams.
  • Manage brand assets for social media and ensure consistency of all externally facing content which has been produced by the wider marketing team.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of the Arbuthnot Latham brand and libraries.
  • You will work on a number of projects at once, so must be able to plan and prioritise your workload effectively, using the systems and tools provided.
  • Share design inspiration and resources with the wider team and relevant departments.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills

  • Prior experience in a design role, working across a range of multidisciplinary projects (3+ years experience expected) [DV1]
  • Creative Cloud: Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Lightroom.
  • Strong conceptual skills, with an expert understanding of the design process from ideation to delivery.
  • Experience with using a website CMS, such as Drupal or Wordpress.
  • Experience with HTML & CSS for building/customising web and email content.
  • Experience with designing for marketing automation tools, such as Pardot, Mailchimp, FishEye.
  • Understanding of UX/UI for web, with experience with prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
  • Accessibility: understanding of the latest WCAG accessibility standards, and experience in applying them to any digital product.
 Knowledge
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & PowerPoint - creating and editing master templates.
  • Excellent IT literacy, quick to learn new tools.
  • A passion and drive to find inspiration in new design / digital principles and layout and typography. Continuous improvement approach to learning and understanding new ways in which our design / digital software can be used to support BAU and campaign work.
  • Managing communication and workload of key third party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of designing for print.
  • Canva for Teams: support marketing managers with the creation of templates and assets for Social Media.
  • Sourcing, editing, and retouching imagery – creating a new suite of branded images. 


Desirable experience and skills

  • Pardot landing page and email template creation.
  • Familiarity with browser-based design tool Readymag.
  • Hands on experience with Figma or a prototyping software equivalent such as Adobe XD, ProtoPie, Sketch, or InVision.
  • Video production and motion design – filming and video editing in-house events, conferences, talking heads, and supporting the Communications Manager on other brand led campaign videos­.
  • Data visualisation and infographic creation.
  • Knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content.
