Job Description

Arbuthnot Latham has been associated with banking since 1833. We combine private and commercial banking, wealth planning and investment management. We believe in traditional relationship and service-led banking powered by modern technology.
 
 
Middle Office purpose is to support Front office and Back Office teams with AML including onboarding activities seeing the process through each stage. To ensure work is processed in an efficient and accurate manner, meeting SLA’s and Service Standards, whilst providing a work environment that generates positive energy, creativity and teamwork among employees. To ensure goals are achieved in processing all client requests and transactions with minimal errors and within deadlines set.
 

Key Responsibilities

Client service and Sales support

  • Monitor and prepare AML reports and assessments as requested.
  • Manage the Banks Onboarding process in a timely and accurate manor.
  • Undertake various other account maintenance processes.
  • Undertake Project work when required to include
  • Development of new ideas to improve client service, including systems across the bank which may streamline processes and cut costs.
  • Ensure thorough testing has taken place.
  • Assist with writing of procedures and processes as required.
  • Responsible for keeping client records updated.
  • Archiving and keeping paper and electronic filing up-to-date.
  • Assistance in administration of office management tasks.
  • Undertake project work when required.

Key Interfaces

  •  Front Office, Compliance and Data keying teams on a daily basis at all levels. 

Person Specification

Knowledge / Experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills (e.g., data entry, data checks, Google search).
  • Knowledge of banking operational processes an advantage but not essential.
  •  Prefer knowledge of compliance and risk processes and regulations.
Communication Skills
  • Effective written and verbal skills.
  •  Able to give and received information and advice.
  • Ability to work in a team for a common goal.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion.
