Job purpose

As part of the Financial Crime Prevention team (FCP) assist with daily tasks including customer due diligence reviews, second line monitoring reviews, transaction monitoring, investigations and training. Providing assistance on financial crime matters to staff across Banking, Wealth Management and Arbuthnot Latham subsidiaries.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily transaction monitoring tasks, acting as a nexus for communications with front line and operations areas
  • Provide support for investigations through analysis of transactions data, system logs, client records and wider publicly available information
  • Assist in performing FCP Monitoring Plan reviews
  • Assist with FCP process improvement actions arising from audits and risk events
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of training material and notices to the business, including maintenance of the FCP Intranet pages
  • Supporting the production of FCP regulatory and industry reports,committee packs and management information as required
  • Provide support in the delivery of wider FCP objectives and business-wide projects
  • Review bank account and investment opening packs to ensure compliance with AML and business requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of Financial Crime MI for use by the team and business.
  • Involvement in business-wide projects as required.

  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skills:

  • No previous work experience in Financial Crime Prevention required, but a broad understanding of Financial Crime subject matters in Financial Services is desirable.
