Ensure that the AL Business Strategy is supported by the use and application of proper technology systems architecture to achieve its goals. This is to be done within the organisations’ risk appetite while optimising operational efficiency and resilience.
The Solutions Architect will also play a pivotal role in driving technology innovation within the organisation and thus enable organisational agility. This is a strategic role with clearly defined objectives linked to delivering the AL Digital Strategy.
Key Responsibilities

Define and set up the architecture governance, framework and methodology to manage the Architecture technical assets of the organisation

Develop the Architecture artifacts required for each architecture area including but not limited to strategic analyses, internal and security controls, workflow and systems intergration, application views, data flows and systems of capture and record; including infrastrustural views, databases and systems, cloud, storage and networks.

Create an architecture repository that will include Best Practice for SDLC, Cloud, Data, ITIL, Agile methodologies

Integrate architecture into IT delivery by developing Target State Architectures over a 3 year outlook

Develop the Solutions Architecture Designs needed during the Study, Design and Delivery phases of a project aligning to our adopted delivery framework, to ensure the organistion is doing the right things in the right way and for the right reasons. This includes the Total Cost Of Ownership for any technology stack and close adherence to technical design standards.

Work with internal IT teams and Suppliers to ensure the AL best practices are integrated into our solutions

Contribute and recommend innovations and ongoing improvements the organisation can make to become more agile and responsive to business needs
