Job Description
To help deliver and support our cloud strategy whilst ensuring the client is at the heart of everything it does. To manage, support and maintain the IT infrastructure to generate improved efficiency, effectiveness and profit to the business.
 
  • Ensure all incidents and requests are processed within SLA and in line with customer expectations.

  • Deliver infrastucture services to meet with quality and availability requirements.

  • Ensure problems are identified and managed in line with the ITIL framework. 

  • Create and process change requests for infrastructure services.

  • Identify and document technology risks and provide solutions to reduce, mitigate or transfer the risk.

  • Produce process documentation and knowledge base articles to ensure compliance with applicable standards such as ISO 27001, ISO27001, PCI DSS and legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Safeguard and deliver operational maintenance in line with agreed schedules.

  • Provide coaching and advice to other areas of IT to help empower and knowledge transfer to other teams.

  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures

Person Specification

Knowledge / Experience

  • Strong experience in designing, implementing, and migrating services in to ‘Infrastructure as a Service’ solutions, including Azure - Compute, Azure SQL, Azure Web, Azure Site Recovery and ExpressRoute

  • Knowledge and understanding of designing, implementing, and migrating services in to ‘Software as a Service’ solutions, including Office365 - Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, Single Sign-on, Defender ATP, Intune, Cloud App Security and Traffic Manager

  • Good understanding of networking concepts and security standards

  • Backup and replication technologies such as Veeam, VMWare vSphere replication

  • Good understanding of load balancing solutions such as KEMP, F5 Silverline, Citrix NetScaler

  • Monitoring solutions such as SolarWinds Orion and Pingdom

  • Base Linux skills are desirable

  • Financial Services background would be beneficial, but not essential

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Adept at explaining major technical issues, to a non-technical audience

  • Strong team player, but equally able to work on own initiative

  • Proven track record of troubleshooting/problem solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with colleagues, providers and senior management.

 

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 below are required

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner

     

    Minimum of 1 below are required

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft MCSE Core Infrastructure
